You got some pretty cranky mayhem every year at the MTV Video Music Awards, but it felt like a night at the Grammys when British crooner Sam Smith dropped a bomb of a performance with “Stay With Me.”

It was also a horror show of bad dates as the camera panned on the crowd.  There.  I said it.
