I have had the group Zero 7 on my iPod for quite some time now, even since their first promo ep, but I got a promo of their latest project back in August, and I cannot describe how infectious and smooth the second cut, or rather, the B-side, “Don’t Call It Love” is to my senses, and thanks to the power of you tube, I can share it with you in all its extended glory!

You’ll hear it once and say it’s cute.  You’ll hear it twice and say it’s still cute.  You’ll keep playing it after that, over and over and over.  You will be hypnotized by the outro groove at the 3:34 mark as the synthesizers take over, and you’ll feel like you’re walking on clouds!  By the 8th or 9th listen, you are cracked out at 115 bpm and bopping like you mean it like in a smoke filled jazz club.

The song explores the strange phenom where love and lust can be one and the same for some, but then there’s that winding yield sign that pops its way up from time to time when you kinda want to scream out the hook: “DON’T CALL IT LOVE”  Look… I love you, but I don’t L O V E you!  You understand, right? [slap]
