As an alternative to those bulky and heavy APS backup systems, a concept called the Little Savior ($tba) by designer Myung-gyu Kim, promises to add an extra 10 minutes of life to your laptop or tower computer when the power goes out. The unit is the size of a shot glass and adds an extra 2 inches of space from the power outlet, but it is a far cry of having to lug around a huge backup power strip. The Little Savior can be a godsend to DJs in the middle of a set or any mobile artist or writer. Those extra ten minutes seems like plenty of time to figure out a way to find a new power source. I really hope it takes off and comes to fruition soon, and by the looks of it, it looks like it will drop in Europe first.
