I am a huge fan of this video game franchise, and needless to say, the games have proven themselves as far better than the souped up Hollywood films that have chosen the most lackluster leads to play the Hitman, Agent 47.
When I saw this new title available for PS4 and other platforms, I was eager to see the next gen fluid graphics, but once you get past the “packaging”, the new Hitman Go ($5) is more of a virtual board game of strategy done in the tradition of old school RPGs with dice, miniatures, and a tiled board. I am sure the next Hitman mega chapter (in the works) will blow my mind like the previous one, but for now, don’t expect any blood, chokes, tosses off ledges, or drawn out cinema scenes, just simple strategy in getting from point A to B. Looks can be deceiving, but I am sure it will grab your attention.
