Television was a lot simpler back in the days.  There were roughly about twenty to thirty channels if you had cable, and one late nite talk show to rule them all -unless you’re a huge Joe Franklin fan.   But, what do you do when you’re the number one show in you’re time slot, and you’re under booked with talent?  Leave it up to talk show legend Johnny Carson to add his signature improvisational tactics when he decides to modestly implore his audience to step in and fill the much needed slot.  This piece of footage that has been unearthed from the late night vaults demonstrates the beauty of basic improvisation, and gives this simple bohemian looking chap his fifteen minutes of fame.  Bravo!
