On May 29th, the strangest animated classic, Yellow Submarine will be out and about once more and fully restored on Blu-Ray disc. ($25)  There will also be a collector’s edition due out as well coupled with a hardcover book.  The restoration process has also been done by hand with software-free frame by frame enhancements.  It is one of the most trippy animated classics to date and still beguiles viewers generation after generation.  It’s like Alice in Wonderland on LSD, but I still think it deserves a spot on the shelf, right next to Willy Wonka…
